How close are you to being Obese?

Has your mirror been deceiving you recently? Are you looking somewhat bigger than before? Does it seem like your clothes look well-adjusted to your frame and that you can do with one size larger? If the answer to the questions is in the affirmative (and you are not walking ramps for a living), there is a possibility that you are moving closer to obesity with slow and steady pace. Now, there is nothing to cry or, raise hell about. Anyone who lives in the 21st century earth has fair chances of getting fat. As far as obesity is considered, equator is the limit, and it depends upon how ambitious you are with fast food.

If you are one of those who don’t eat home made meals and go for ambrosia for tongue (and not health); obesity will be waiting in the next corner of the road. Walk hand in hand with burger and fries; canned food and instant noodles; your weighing scale (if you have one) will show your achievements. Couple that with no exercise in any form, and you are sure to join the group at any instant. This is not a happy scenario. You may be familiar with the saying (of some very wise guy) that God made the cake and the Devil threw the calories in. Sad but true. If you have befriended cake, you shook hands with the devil as well, who will be seen as excess baggages around you for a long time to come.

If your family members especially the biological parents are obese, then there is a possibility that you may develop the condition also. Worse if you are found to carry obesity genes. Such conditions cannot be helped easily and needs thorough treatment. Diseases and disorders that require prescription medication may also lead to weight gain. If you are suffering any such disease and have been prescribed medication, it will be wise to ask the doctor about obesity related side effects. If yes then you will have to find out how to not let it escalate. How close you are to obesity mostly depends upon you and your lifestyle. Including green vegetables, fresh fruits and physical activities as part of your daily routine will certainly reverse obesity conditions.
